Minneapolis, MN, November 13, 2012 – AbiJack Management, leader in partnership development, sponsorship, event marketing, artist relations and tour activation, today announced that the company has partnered with American singer/songwriter Shelby Lynne for a new branding campaign. As part of the new relationship, AbiJack will handle all communication for Lynne’s branding and tour sponsorship opportunities, with a special focus on companies and products that are “Made in America.” AbiJack will seek to establish and maintain relationships with American-born companies, and create new and exciting branding opportunities for the music star’s upcoming concert tour.
“Our country has such a deep sense of pride in our own goods, and we produce such craftsmanship that we have carried down from generation to generation,” said Shelby Lynne. “I support anything made in America by American hands and souls. That’s what the U.S. A. is about to me. Now, with the help of AbiJack, I’ll be able to continue to display my pride in great American companies and show support during all of my upcoming shows.”
“AbiJack’s mission is to establish and maintain successful partnerships between the branding world, the music industry and event industry, and bring the entire process full circle,” said Brett Palmer, CEO of AbiJack Management. “With such a legendary and passionate artist like Shelby Lynne, we’re positive that we’ll create some amazing opportunities and bring the ‘Made in America’ campaign to life.”
Palmer continued, “As the owner and operator of a small American business, Shelby Lynne exemplifies the spirit that has made this nation great. She brings a superior sense of care and craftsmanship to her songs, which tell classic tales of American life, and AbiJack’s plan is to help Shelby tell that story by connecting her with great ‘Made In America’ brands for 2013 and beyond.”
Best known for her album I Am Shelby Lynne, the singer/songwriter was awarded the Best New Artist GRAMMY® in 2000, after nearly 13 years in the business. Love, Shelby was released in 2001, followed by a pair of intimate, self-produced albums – Identity Crisis (2003) and Suit Yourself (2005). She made her acting debut in 2005, playing the young Johnny Cash’s mother in the Fox Searchlight motion picture Walk the Line. Just a Little Lovin’, her critically acclaimed tribute to Dusty Springfield, was released in 2008. She recently founded her own label, EVERSO RECORDS. Lynne’s Tears, Lies, And Alibis, EVERSO’s first release, debuted at No. 16 on Billboard’s Top Independent Albums chart in April of 2010. Following, Shelby released her first-ever holiday collection, Merry Christmas, in the fall of 2010. Revelation Road (2011), Lynne’s newest album, is widely regarded as her best record since her debut, with praise from media outlets including The Washington Post who called it “a sumptuous, unabashedly Southern song cycle” and Popdose who declared Lynne as “an American treasure.” Lynne will be touring North America this year.
